Adapter to Use Above Bed Rails 5th Wheel Hitch with 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed OEM Rail Kit

I have a new 2022 Silverado 2500 with the standard bed and need to pull my 5th wheel with a sidewinder pin box. I have a hitch from my my previous truck, it mounts with ISR above bed rails. I can't figure out your fit guide, why does it say the parts I need only fit long bed trucks?

It is common that folks with a short bed truck use a slide hitch, in general, short bed trucks require such a hitch unless unless the 5th wheel has a rotating turret pin box. So this is how we organize our fitguide. The slider hitches get listed as fitting the short bed trucks and fixed hitches for the long bed trucks.
Since your 2022 Chevy Silverado short bed has the OEM rail kit the adapter you need to install your hitch is the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter, # DM6333. This is listed for both the 6-3/4 and 8 Foot Bed with OEM Prep Pkg.
