Does Camco RV Cover Need to be Tighten Down More if it Blows Off of RV
Question:
Good Afternoon I have purchased this in 2020 so last winter was our first winter using this cover. We must have done something wrong when putting the cover on because it blew off at some point in the winter but was kept between our motorhome and the next motorhome in the storage lot. How do we secure this so it wont blow off in the winter wind? Do we need to tighten the straps more? We didnt want to put them too tight and have the cold -40 and wind snap the straps off. Please let me know what else we can do to keep this on our motorhome over winter. Thank you.

Great question about the Camco UltraGuard Class A RV Cover # CAM45733. If you just cinched the straps up to take out some of the slack so it wasn't billowing out then I believe that's what went wrong. You don't want to pull on the straps so hard that it feels like you're going to break them, but they should be snug enough that there isn't any slack on them and the cover should feel like it is custom-fit on your RV. Unless you're really pushing the limits of the straps you should be just fine in the cold.
The Camco covers cinch up and connect on the frame of your motorhome but the Adco covers like the SFS AquaShed # 290-52207 that fits your RV actually have straps that run underneath the RV so there is zero chance that the cover comes off and away, even if you didn't cinch the straps down super tight.
