Question:
We had a Toyota 2002 4runner with factory rack, including the crossbars and the Thule fit great. We now have a 2016 4Runner 4 wheel drive with the side bars and we need the crossbars, I am very confused about which ones to get maybe the best bet is o get the crossbars from Toyota

For your 2016 Toyota 4Runner that has factory raised side rails we have the Malone roof rack part number # MPG216 as a confirmed fit that I would recommend. This rack is very easy to install, is well made, and will cost considerably less than a Toyota rack.
This would also allow you to carry the Thule Ascent cargo box that you have.
