Why Would Stove Top Glass Randomly Shatter

We have a Furrion glass cover for our camper stove. In the middle of the night, the glass shattered for no apparent reason. In fact, the stove hadn’t been used at all that day. Why did this happen??? Thank you.

This is a great question but what typically happens is that the glass develops tiny micro cracks that develop from hitting the glass several times combined with continual heating and cooling of the stress fractures which eventually leads to the glass just giving out.

We have the replacement steel top with glass cover for the Furrion ovens with part # C-FSRE21SA-SS-003.
