Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch For 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 With Factory Puck System

I need a 5th wheel hitch for my 2022 Chevy silverado 2500 with the pucks. My truck has a short bed so which hitch do you recommend?

Since your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 has the short bed you will more than likely need to go with a sliding hitch to be able to avoid cab to trailer clearance issues when making sharp turns. For a slider hitch I really like the B&W Companion Slider # BWRVK3775 due to it having 1" thick dual jaws for superior king pin contact giving you a very smooth and secure ride, but also due to the cam action handle that allows you to quickly and easily unhook the trailer from the hitch even if the ground you are parked on is not perfectly level.

This hitch has a 20,000lb trailer weight rating which is plenty for the vast majority of 5th wheel trailers on the road.

You probably noticed I said you will more than likely need a slider. This is due to the fact that if your 5th wheel trailer uses a rotating pin box you would want to use a fixed 5th wheel hitch instead. If this is the case for you then I recommend the B&W Companion # BWRVK3710 as it has the same great features of the above hitch, just without a slider base. To use this hitch with a rotating pin box you will also need a wedge # SWW-06.
