Recommended 4-Way Flat Vehicle Wiring Harness For a 2001 Volvo V70
Question:
I have a 2001 Volvo v70xc and I’d like to know the difference between the cheaper and more expensive wiring kits for my vehicle and which one you’d recommend. I plan on using a dirtbike holder and snap trailers.

All of the wiring kits available for your 2001 Volvo V70XC will require you to identify the correct wires on the tail lights and tie into the wires using quick splice wire connectors.
The Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59496 is the 4-way harness that I recommend using. This kit also includes a test light to check your wiring and ensuring that you are connecting to the correct wiring on your Volvo. The powered converter nearly eliminates the excess draw on the vehicle harness and mounts to you Volvo with a screw to secure it in place and help prevent damage due to it bouncing around.
A cheaper 4-way like the Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter # 46255 does not include the test light and the converter can only be secured by either using double sided tape or using a zip tie though the slots on the converter. This will usually fail and allow for the converter to move around and may become damaged easier.
