Can I Use a iPhone Without Cell Service To Control The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller?

If I have an old iPhone with Bluetooth but no cellphone contract can I use it specifically for the controller and free up my new iPhone for all other tasks?

Yes, you can use your old iPhone to control the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 as long as it is running IOS 5.0 or higher.
Since you do not have cellphone service you will need to setup Wifi to download the Curt Echo App and setup the controller. Once you have the app installed and configured to the Curt Echo you will be able to control it via the Bluetooth connection.
