Recommended Tire Storage Covers For ST205/75R15 Tires On Tandem Utility Trailer

Question:

Hi, I live in Montana and recently purchased a dual axle utility trailer. I am looking for covers to protect the tires in the winter snow. A dual tire cover configuration would be preferable. Thank you.

I can certainly help you out with that. The ST205/75R15 tires you have should measure right at 27" in diameter so in this case the most affordable route would be Adco Tyre Gard RV Wheel Covers - Designer Series - 27" to 29" - Tan # 290-3963. This is a kit that comes with all four covers that you would need for your dual axle trailer; the covers are heavy duty and water-repellant so they will do a great job of protecting against all the elements.

Since you mentioned a dual tire cover, you could go with Adco Tyre Gard RV Wheel Cover - Double Axle - 27" to 29" - Vinyl - Diamond Plate # 290-3723 (this is for one side, so you will need a quantity of two). These covers are also heavy duty and weather-resistant but they do require a bungee cord or rope to keep them tight, such as SmartStraps Bungee Cord w/ Coated Steel Hooks - Adjustable - 28" to 48" - Yellow # 348509.

I personally would go with the kit that includes four single covers, # 290-3963, since they have integrated Velcro straps and do not need bungee cords or rope to secure tightly to the tires. I also think they look better. A couple demonstration videos have been linked to further assist you.
