Which Trailer Wiring Harness For 2021 Toyota Highlander

I have a 2021 Toyota Highlander XLE. How can I tell if it is pre-wired for the towing harness? Which electrical harness should I buy? Thank you?

So the trailer harness connector will be there on your 2021 Toyota Highlander no matter what; it will be behind the rear bumper on the driver's side. In regards to the correct wiring harness, that will simply depend on if you ordered the factory tow package on your '21 Highlander.

There isn't a way to easily check for this, but you would likely know if you have the tow package as that would be an option you would add when purchasing the vehicle. If you aren't sure you can always call your local Toyota dealer with your VIN and they can tell you. So here is what you need depending on if you have the tow package or not:

- WITHOUT Factory Tow Package: T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK99FR

- WITH Factory Tow Package: T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # TK74FR

Along with the harness you will want a mounting bracket, the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144.
