Comparing Firestone and Air Lift Air Helper Springs on 2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
I’d like to get the Firestone 7500 # bags and compressor. What is the difference between Firestone and the other bag company in terms of quality, fit, replacement parts? Thank you,

Expert Reply:
The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F2703 are a higher quality system when compared to Air Lift. Firestone bags use a rolled crimp seal which keeps the bags securely anchored and does a better job when compared to the metal bands Air Lift uses.
These Firestone bags also have four layers of reinforced rubber compared to two layers on the Air Lift. Another nice part about the Firestone is that they do not require drilling for the installation, the Air Lift does. The Firestone is also fully compatible with an in-bed hitch. Overall the Firestone is going to be the strongest and most durable option. When it comes to replacement parts, Firestone has replacement brackets, hardware, air lines, and air springs available.
For a compressor, I recommend the Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor - Wireless - Smartphone Enabled - Single Path # F2610. This compressor will let you monitor and adjust your air springs through the app on your smartphone via Bluetooth.
