Can the Draw-Tite # 24850 on a 2012 Chevy Camaro Tow a Motorcycle Trailer
Question:
Is the trailer hitch strong enough to pull a motorcycle on a trailer?
asked by: Dana M
Expert Reply:
That really depends on how heavy your trailer and motorcycle are. Most likely yes, but this hitch has a 2,000 gross trailer weight rating and a 200 lb tongue weight rating. So as long as your motorcycle and trailer are under those capacities and the towing capacities listed in the owners manual you would be good to go.
When determining the towing capacity of a setup you should always go with the lowest rated component as your overall capacity. So if your vehicle is rated lower than the hitch you would want to go with the vehicle rating and vice versa.
