I have a recommendation as the Reese Mounting Bracket Kit # RP58186 will only fit select Dodge Ram 2500's starting with the 2003 model year.

For your 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 I Recommend the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035 to install your 5th wheel rails in your bed.

When installing these rails it is important to have your 5th wheel hitch in place on the rails to ensure proper alignment when tightening down all your hardware. If you need help selecting a hitch let me know your bed length and the 5th wheel trailer that you intend to pull.
