Does Power Need to be Run to a 4 Flat and 7 Way on a 2022 Kia Sorento?

To get everything working properly on your 2022 Kia Sorento, the power wire for both the Tekonsha # TK26FR and # ETBC7L will need to be run to the battery. This is due to the tail lights not getting enough power to get the lights on the trailer working properly. As the # ETBC7L piggybacks off of the 4 Flat on the # TK26FR, it will require both power sources.

If you are going with the # ETBC7L, I can highly recommend the Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180. This is an easy to use and set up controller and will not require any other wires run after the power wires are connected. After the initial set-up with your smartphone, you can also add the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller # C83HR so you will not need to use said smartphone for the manual override.
