can the black cable reach the black charging area on a 2015 Ford Escape

You will be able to use the NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter- LED Work Light - USB Port - 12V - 1,000 Amp, part # 329-GB40, to charge your 2015 Ford Escape. The negative charging cable does not have to reach the negative terminal to charge your battery, just a metal surface. Your battery is next to the firewall of your vehicle. You should be able to attach the negative cable there without any problems.
