Recommended Light Weight 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible with MORryde Cushioned Pin Box

Question:

I have a Reese Manual slider hitch set up that weighs 158lbs. I dont think I really need the slider and was wanting the 50lb. Pullrite #2400 hitch setup. it will fit the Reese rails eTrailer seams to have the best answers on this subject, my situation is complicated by the fact I also have a Mor-RIde rubber pin box, logically I cant see why the Pullrite wont work with the pin box but I cant get a definitive answer from Pullrite or Mor-Ride.

I may have a solution for you, but we don't offer Pull-rite products, so unfortunately I can't comment on their compatibility with MORryde cushioned pin boxes like the # MR24VR. However, the Demco Recon # DM8550043 only weighs roughly 90-lbs, will mount in your existing industry standard rails and is compatible with a MORryde rubber cushioned pinbox. This would be a good alternative that can be disassembled into 2 lightweight pieces, so it's easy to take in and out of your truck and it's compatible with all of your existing parts.

I've linked a review video of the Recon for you to check out, but as long as you don't have a MORryde pin box with a rotating turret then it's a great solution to get a lighter hitch.
