Is Cover Needed for Lippert LC643589 Smart Jack A-Frame Powered Trailer Jack

I’ve seen some reviews of covers where owners complained that too much moisture builds up inside the cover. Is one even needed for a Smart Jack?

The Lippert # LC643589 Smart Jack is designed to be fully exposed to the elements, so using a cover for it isn't necessary, but there's no reason why you couldn't use one if you wish.

A cover like # UF38-944026 could indeed be used, but if you decide to do so, I'd only tighten up the draw string enough so that the cover won't get blown off. If you tighten it any further than that, the condensation that can build up might not be able to evaporate.

Also, you'll want to avoid using a power washer to clean the jack housing.
