Question:
Base plate available for a 1999 Mustang?

For your 1999 Mustang, you wold need the Roadmaster Base Plate Kit, part # 466-1. You will also need a tow bar, wiring to connect the tail lights of the Mustang to those of the RV, safety cables, and in many states, a supplemental braking system.
The Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520 is our best seller. It features quick disconnects and telescoping self centering and auto locking arms that make hook up and removal a painless procedure.
A Tail Light Isolating Diode wiring system like part # TR118821 will allow the towed vehicle tail lights to work in tandem with those of the RV.
Safety cables like part # RM-645 will keep the towed vehicle and the RV joined in case of a tow bar or base plate failure.
Many states and Canadian provinces now require that towed vehicles be equipped with a supplemental braking system. A system like the Roadmaster Even Brake, part # RM-9400 will apply the towed vehicle brakes when the RV brakes are applied, leading to safe and predictable braking.
Many vehicles will require some sort of modification to be flat towed without damaging the drive line. According to my research, a 1999 Mustang with manual transmission is flat towable as is. Automatic transmission models require a drive shaft coupling. You should confirm this information by consulting your owners manual or Ford.
