Question:
The replacement kit and install went fine. However, the new unit will not run on the Onan RVQG4000 generator. Kevin C says it should run with this generator with ample power.

If the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # FR42PV is running on shore power but not when running off of generator power the issue lies with the generator. Do you have anything else running when you're trying to start the air conditioner? If so, you could be falling the below the the necessary wattage required to start the unit. For example typically an RV microwave is going to require 1000 watts while running, an RV fridge is going to need 600 watts to start and 180 to run, and a TV will require 400 watts. Little things can quickly add up and consume too much power to start your ac unit.
Generators just like any other machine can degrade over time so you'll also want to check the output of your Onan RVQ4000 to ensure it's still properly working.
