I spoke with our technical advisor and he said to start with the 7-way plug on the back of your Silverado. Unplug the 7-way plug from the factory plug beneath your rear bumper. If your Prodigy P2 brake controller, part # 90885, shows the two dots, then the 7-way plug is the problem.
If you still do not have the two dots on your brake controller when disconnected from the trailer, you will need to check the wires on the back of your brake controller. Follow these wires along the underside of your vehicle. Check for pinched, broken or frayed wires.
