What Is The Best Hitch-Mount Bike Rack For Transporting 2 Bikes On A 2018 Toyota Prius?

My car is a 2018 Prius 3 4 cylinder and I just had a class 1 hitch installed so I dont have to use a strap on bike rack. Our bikes are 24and 26inch and weigh 36 and 42 lbs. This Swingman Chinook has gotten great reviews and I am most impressed that is keeps the bikes stable on both short and long trips. This is my first purchase of a hitch type bike rack and want to be as sure as possible that Im making a good purchase. Please let me know if this is a reasonable purchase. I could spend a little more, but this rack seems to be loved by all who have reviewed it!

The Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # S64683 is indeed a popular and high-quality option. I have not heard of any complaints on this rack and it sounds like it will suit your needs well, so I certainly recommend going with this one.

The Chinook tilts back to allow access to the trunk on most vehicles, all while bikes are still loaded. The adjustable padded hook fits tightly over a variety of bike sizes and styles, however, if you plan to transport a step-thru bike or other oddly-shaped bike with a very low frame then you may need to use an adapter bar such as # 64005. Lastly, the Swagman Chinook comes with keyed-alike locks to keep the bikes and bike rack secured to your vehicle, so you won't have to worry as much about thieves.
