The unit is a Carrier Air V and the number we think is the part number is: 71DC6C34010 We would like to replace the unit and understand Carrier is no longer making them but want to make sure we get one that will work and fit right in to what we have.

I suggest the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup, # ACCAR150 for a white shroud, or the # ACCAR150B for a black shroud. This will be a direct replacement for your current AC so long as the thermostat and relay box of your Carrier is functional. This kit includes the Advent Air Rooftop RV Air Conditioner # ACM150, Carrier Adapter Kit # ACCARKIT and Start Capacitor for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMSCKIT.
Going with the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup, means the process to install the new unit will be extremely easy as it is all pretty much just plug and play. This Advent unit has the start capacitor which reduces the amount of watts required to start the unit making it easier to operate from generator.
