Thomas Payne Seismic Recliners Manual Override To Collapse Chair When Stuck Reclined
Question:
What do you do when the power goes off and the chair is totally reclined?????
asked by: Duane A
Expert Reply:
If you have lost power or the motor quit and need to be able to fold the recliner back in, there are 4 bolts on the bottom of the Lippert Seismic Recliner that hold connect the motor to the recliner mechanism.
With the chair reclined these bolts will be closer to the back of the chair. Two of the bolts are removed with an 11mm socket, the other two with a 8mm allen wrench. With the bolts removed you will be able to collapse the chair back to its seated position, but since the motor is disconnected there is nothing to lock it in place at this time.
