Bearing Buddy Bearing Protector Recommendation On a 2020 Triton Jetski Trailer

Question:

Hi I just bought a 2020 Triton single JETSKI trailer LT WCI. I was wondering if I would be able to install buddy bearings on it. Currently it only has the silver metal caps with the rubber grommet. I removed the grommet and can clearly see the grease zerk. Ive had good luck with buddy bearings and wanted to know if this would be an option. I appreciate your advice Thanks!

A Bearing Buddy is a great choice for your 2020 Triton Jetski Trailer. It can often protect you from blowing out the rear grease seal on your hub which would require you to disassemble your hub just to replace the seal.

To use the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS on your trailer you will first want to verify that you have the correct Bearing Buddy for your Hub. You will need to remove the current dust cap to get an accurate measurement with a Digital Caliper # PTW80157.

I believe that you have a hub diameter of 1.98" which is the correct size for the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS. If you determine that you need a different size when you measure your hub bore, please let me know what your measurement is and I will get you the information for the correct Bearing Buddy. These are made of stainless steel and have an auto check feature that will help reduce the chances of you over filling the hubs with to much grease and blowing out the rear grease seal. It will also allow for the grease inside the hub to expand when it heats up during use.

To install this bearing buddy you will need to remove the current grease zerk fittings from your spindle. And be sure to use LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 when filling your hubs.
