It sounds like you have a lack of LP flow, check to see if the pilot light itself is lit; it should be. If your propane supply is good, full bottles and a functioning regulator, verify this by operation check of another LP appliance such as the stove. If the stove functions properly then your LP system is proper at least up to the point of the water heater. If your pilot light will not stay lit ensure there are no obstructions/blockage.

You may have a bad thermostat/regulator in need of replacement, this would be, # 91602. Observe how many times the lights blink/flash, these signals are providing a fault indication and can help with troubleshooting.

If you determine that you need to replace your Atwood RV Water Heater, Model # GC10A-4E, the direct replacement is the Atwood RV Water Heater - Gas and Electric - part # AT94022 along with its On/Off switch - part # AT91230. This is the new version of your existing water heater, so it will have all the same features like a 10-gallon capacity, automatic pilot with electronic ignition and 10,000 BTU.
