You will most definitely need a slider for a short bed since the trailer sticks out about a foot past the hitch to avoid hitting the cab. I recommend the Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000lbs # C16566 with the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Ford and Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C88KR. The adapter rails will allow you to utilize your puck system and this sliding hitch comes with a 3-point indicator system to easily show you when you're in couple, uncouple, or tow mode. You will not be able to fully load up the trailer since this hitch is only rated for 24,000lbs and your 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 doesn't have the towing capacity.
For your safety and the safety of your equipment you'll need to ensure you stay under the GVWR of your truck which can be found in the owner's manual, driver's side door jamb, or on the manufacturer's website with your VIN.
