Will Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Fit On 2005 Infiniti FX35

Will the rack fit comfortably on a 2005 Infiniti FX35 with a 1.25 inch hidden hitch installed?

The Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack, # NV12G, will fit your 2005 Infiniti FX35 as long as it is able to clear the rear bumper. You will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole rearwards. The measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier is 10-1/2 inches, so the outer edge of your bumper will need to be that far out for this hitch to work.

It also has a tilt-away feature that allows you to access your rear cargo area with the bikes still attached in most cases. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier when it is folded up is 7-7/8 inches. That means to use the rack in the folded position, you will need that amount of clearance between the hitch pin hole and the outside edge of the bumper. I have provided a graphic showing how the tilt feature works.

The weight capacity for this rack is 120 lbs total, or 60 lbs per bike with a total bike-free rack weight of 52 lbs. The combined total of the bikes and rack will not be a problem for the 300-lb tongue weight of a Class II hitch.
