Parts Needed To Convert Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch From 600lb Max Tongue Weight To 800lb
Question:
I have a Fast way EZ equalizer hitch with a 600lb tongue rating. My new trailer is 610 lbs tongue weight. Am I ok or do I need to up grade my bars? Is that a unloaded rating or loaded?

Since the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Hitch # FA94-00-0600 you have is only rated for tongue weights between 200-600lbs it will not be rated high enough to work as designed with your new trailer that has 610lbs tongue weight.
The tongue weight rating for all weight distribution hitches is the total tongue weight of your setup which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. The easiest way to get an accurate tongue weight measurement is with a tongue weight scale like the etrailer # e99044 but there are other methods outlined in the included help article.
As long as your new trailers total tongue weight does not exceed 800lbs you will just need two of the replacement spring bars # FA94-02-0899 with an 800lb max tongue weight rating and you will be good to go.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
