I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Thule that the Replacement Lid Lifter Hinge for Thule Cargo Boxes # TH14936 is not compatible with the Thule Motion XT XL # TH629806. However, the part that you need is the Replacement Lid Lifter Hinge for Thule Motion XT Cargo Boxes # 1401495200. This part only comes with 1 replacement, so you will need to order an additional # 1401495200 if you need both hinges replaced.
