Hooking Up the ETBC7L For a Curt Echo Brake Controller
Question:
I have an 2015 RX 350. I saw one of the videos that stated I need to use the ETBC7L and use the ground wire and the 12v only in order to use the Curt Echo. Is that correct for my vehicle?

As long as you have a 4-way wiring connector on your 2015 Lexus RX 350 already then yes that would be correct. The current 4-way connector would hook into the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L. You would then use the white ground wire and black power wire from the kit. The blue and yellow wires would not be used since you are using the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
If you do not have a 4-way connector already then you will need to pick one up, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118252 if you have the factory tow package.
If you do not have the factory tow package then I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT.
To make mounting the # ETBC7L easier you can pick up the No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18136.
