4-Way Wiring Harness Compatibility From a 2008 Subaru Outback To a 2018 Subaru Outback
Question:
I recently traded up from a 2008 outback to a 2018. I bought a Curt wiring harness from you folks for my 2008 Outback it doesnt seem to be compatible with my 2018 factory plug in? Can I used an adapter to make it work? Thanks

There is not an adapter that will allow you to transfer your Curt harness from your 2008 Subaru Outback to your new 2018 Subaru Outback.
You will need a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56040 for your new Outback. This will plug into your factory connection to give you the 4-way flat trailer connector. I have linked a video below that will walk you through the installation process.
