What Wires Should I Use for My Trailer Brake Controller on a 2019 Starcraft 27 BH?
Question:
I have a 2019 Starcraft 27 BH Autumn Ridge and I was having issues with the trailers brakes I was unable to set my controller to slow the trailer. With that said, I crawled under the trailer to find that only one side was wired, can I just run wires to the other side from the wires that are there?

Yes, you can run a 10-gauge wire (which will have blue insulation) from the front of the trailer to one of the trailer brakes. If you need 10-gauge wiring and shrink butt connectors, that is the # 10-1-1 along with the # 05732-2. This will be your power wire. Connect the power wire to the non-grounded wire on one of the brakes, then run another wire from the power wire on this brake to the brake on the other side of the axle. On the side that isn't connected, you just need to ground one wire on the brake assemble and add power to the other; it does not matter which wire you choose. I went ahead and included a diagram to this answer that shows the route of the blue wire.
