How Do I Mount A Thule Hullavator On 2019 Honda Pilot With A Factory Rack
Question:
Hi, I have a 2019 Honda Pilot Touring with an existing rack system. I read that I need to mount a 60 inch Yakima bar. But I’m confused as to what I would need to do that with my existing rails. Thanks in advance for your help! Sincerely,

Your existing rails are used to mount your Yakima towers and crossbars on your 2019 Honda Pilot. This can be done by removing your factory crossbars. I believe you need a Torx wrench to do so. Your Yakima rack will consist of the following;
Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long - Qty 2, part # Y00426,
SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems - Qty 4, part # Y53TR,
Landing Pad 19 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers - Qty 4, # part # Y00245, and the
Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores (QTY 4), part # Y07204.
This rack has a weight limit of 165 lbs. It has the 60" JetStream crossbars so you will have enough room for the Thule Hullavator. The bars are elliptical in shape to help reduce wind noise and aid in fuel efficiency. They also have a t-channel so you can mount any channel mounted roof rack accessories to the crossbars in addition to your roof rack accessories that clamp to the crossbars. Lastly, with the Yakima Lock Cores you can secure your rack to the vehicle.
Adding the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs - Side Loading, part # TH898, will allow to load your boats without having to physically place them on top of the vehicle. You will be able to mount it in the t-channel or clamp it to the bars. It comes with padded tie down straps to secure the boat to the Hullavator. If you add the Thule lock cylinders you can lock the Hullavator to your vehicle.
I have included product description links, video links about this setup, and a link to Thule lock cylinders below.
