Best Trailer Hitch Option for Carrying Mobility Chair on 2014 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I have a 2014 Equinox. We have a Jazzy ramp for our daughters chair. It weighs about 325lbs. Will this hitch be able to hold the weight of the ramp and the chair?

The etrailer brand # e98865 hitch has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity, which means that the maximum amount of downward force that a hitch mounted accessory can safely place on the hitch is 350 lbs.
I'm not sure what your ramp consists of, or whether the 325 lb weight you mentioned also includes the weight of the chair itself. The combined weight of the hitch mounted carrier and the chair would need to be taken into consideration, and could not exceed the tongue weight capacity of the hitch..
Long story short, if the hitch mounted carrier and the chair has a combined weight less than 350 lbs, the # e98865 hitch would work great for you. If not, you could use a small trailer instead of a hitch mounted carrier.
I've linked to installation videos for the hitches mentioned above.
