Does Reese Friction Sway Control # 83660 Have to Install at 24 inches

Can I Cheat my sway bar Ball to ball 25 inches rather than 24 inches to avoid my propane tank

The Reese friction sway control part # 83660 has to install at exactly 24 inches. If the clearance is better on the other side of the trailer what you could do is pull out the inner piece of the unit and flip it 90 degrees and reinstall it so that you could install it on the opposite side of the trailer.
