Do You Recommend the Swagman XTC2 or the Swagman XC2 for a Motorhome?
Question:
XTC2 seems better. But website says XC2 compatible with rv, not XTC2. Why? What bike rack for hitch on rv, do you recommend?

Both the Swagman Traveler XC2 # S64663 and the Swagman XTC2 # S64670 are constructed to use on the back of motorhomes. While the XTC2 is not made for fifth-wheel trailers, travel trailers, and flat-towed vehicles, the XC2 is compatible with those options.
The reason why some racks are not compatible with motorhomes, fifth-wheel trailers, travel trailers, and flat-towed vehicles is because there is a considerable amount of added torque when the bike rack is mounted to the hitch. In addition, the added length also causes more force exerted on the rack when traveling. With that being said, I recommend the Swagman XTC2 for your motorhome because it will accommodate a larger maximum wheelbase (66 inches) and includes 3 inches of shank rise for added ground clearance.
If you need a hitch recommendation, I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # C13704. The adjustable trailer hitch comes with adjustable sliding brackets that are designed to fit frames from 22-66 inches wide. With this hitch, there is drilling and/or welding required for installation.
