Recommended Hand Winch for Light Loads
Question:
why cant I find a manual winch for light weights? I would prefer 1:1 with a locking mechanism. Are you aware of any such product?

Expert Reply:
The best option we can offer for light loads is a worm gear winch since there are no minimum load requirements. For this, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch part # DL10950 and Hand Winch Cable with Safety Hook part # DL24100. The load will be held in place whenever the handle is released.
