Should Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Turn Off Once Truck Is Parked And Ignition Is Turned Off?
Question:
Is the Tekonsha P3 brake controller supposed to stay on when the truck is parked and the ignition switch off?

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 you have is designed to go to sleep after 15 minutes of not detecting the vehicle moving, and does not turn off with the ignition key. It does not fully turn off as if it did it would lose all of the stored trailer settings, and you would need to readjust the controller each time you turned your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado off.
I recommend checking through the window of your truck after 15-20 minutes to see if the controller went to sleep.
I included a video of the # 90195 for you to take a look at.
