Slide Cover Installation On Grand Design 28G Momentum Where Header Panel Can't be Found
Question:
Hello, I purchased my slide covers a while back and finally have time to install them. While installing my rail for the smaller bedroom slide I found that there does not seem to be a header to screw into. I followed the instructions to measure between 3 and 6 inches per Shane H. instructions on the video. I also tested a few inches above and below and still nothing. I even used my stud finder to see if there was something solid and could not find anything. Have you ever seen this? Any suggestions? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

If you can't find a header panel to install a Slide Topper awning rail like the # LCV000163287 into what you can do is put putty tape on the sidewall and then screws in all of the holes of the rails and you'd be good. Putty tape is very sticky and holds it well.
The part # 3724162 is an 8 foot section of putty tape that comes with screws as well but you would probably want to use the screws you have already.
