Troubleshooting Lighting Issues After Installing The Roadmaster Diode Kit On A 2008 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have followed the directions and found that the left hand brake/turn light is very dull bearly visible and the right is fine. I have checked the earth wire to make sure it is solid. When I connect to the motorhome the left is working fine and he right does not light up at all with tail or brake/turn lights. I have a blue ox 4 pin to 7 pin connection and the wiring is as specified.I will check the connection on the motor home hitch but I need to have the jeep lights correct as a priority

If the left light on your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is dull after installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Item # RM-154 then you have a connection issue. I recommend checking the wiring and making sure there is no loose or damaged wiring.
If you're having issues when hooked up to the motorhome then first you want to make sure it's wired correctly. The lighting on your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is combined. I've attached the wiring diagrams for a combined wiring towed vehicle to a combined or separate styled lighting RV since I don't know what your motorhome is. If the wiring is correct and you have no damaged or loose wires then you will need to check each of the pins on your 7 pin port on the motorhome and then again on the 4 pin adapter while it's hooked up to ensure the adapter isn't the issue. You should be getting 12v when you test.
