For your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic towing a 5800lb travel trailer with tandem axles I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 as it is an extremely reliable controller with great features like an easy to read LCD and built in diagnostics that are easy to read and understand.
To install the # 90195 in your Silverado Classic you will need the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3015-P which will plug into a port in the fuse box underneath the dash of your truck, and take care of all of the wiring needed for the controller.
I included an installation video of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
