Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatibility With Hands Free Liftgate on a 2019 Honda CR-V

I am looking at a 2 inch e-trailer hitch for my 2019 Honda CR-v. Will it work my hands free lift gate?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98848 should still work on your 2019 Honda CR-V. Honda is good about making sensor relocation kits if the receiver hitch will interfere with the hands free liftgate sensor, I have one for my Acura RDX. I do not see that one is available or recommended for your CR-V which tells me that it will work. You may need to get your foot very close to the receiver tube for it to sense your foot.

I recommend installing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741 when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that you need to tow most small trailers. It will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your taillights on your CR-V.
