The first thing you are going to need to activate the trailer lights and brakes on your trailer is a 4-way. For that you will want a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55510. This product is what is used to control the tail lights of your trailer.
Next you will need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can activate the brakes of your trailer. For that you will need a Universal Installation Kit 4-way to 7-way # ETBC7. This comes with everything to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and connect to a brake controller to activate the trailer brakes. I attached installation instructions and an install video for you to check out also.
For a brake controller I would recommend you go with the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake controller # 90885. This is one of our best selling controllers because of how well it works and how easy it is to install.
If you can, I would recommend returning the Hopkins Endurance 7-Way # HM48470 since you would not need it.
