Options for 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD To Replace Pullrite for Option with Height Adjustability

Question:

I have searched and have not been able to find a good answer and new to the 5er community so few people to learn from. The wife and I purchased a 2021 open range 264rls. We were going to tow this with an f 250 we had. Had the truck set up with a turn over ball and an Andersen ultimate hitch. Went to pick up the trailer and it really sagged the rear of the truck, it had a leveling kit, trailer was not ready so left it and dealer delivered it later. I had the leveling kit removed so it would sit more level when hitched. F250 was at or slightly over payload capacity. An opportunity arose to pick up a 2020 Chevrolet 2500hd with a much higher payload so I jumped at it. The truck was used and came with a pullrite super glide, had to order the pin plate for the lippert 1116 pin box. Hitched it up and did some measuring. The rear gate was 5.5 inches and it was over 6 inches along the rails near the front cap. Anyways the issue I discovered was how high the trailer sits I am about 13’4- 13’6 maybe more have not got on the roof and measured, but tall. It appears the rear of the truck could come down some and bring down the overall height. I know the super glide is popular are there any adjustments I can make to the super glide or would the Anderson be a better option. I just don’t know what to do. The pin box is at lowest setting. Would Reese goos box be a better option. I am so lost. Thanks and I hope ya can help.

One of the big drawbacks to the Pullrite hitch like you have is the lack of height adjustability like it sounds like you really need to be able to tow your trailer level. So you could go to a different hitch setup that has adjustability like the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034 with the install kit part # DM6333 which fits the OEM rail kit of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.

A Goosebox like the part # RP94716-61301 could fit in place of the Lippert 1116 pin box but it doesn't have height adjustability either.

You'd need a gooseneck ball too for that route like with the # BWGNXA2061 which fits your OEM rail kit.
