Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs Recommendation for a 2004 Mercury Sable Sedan
Question:
1. How do you AIR up the air lift suspension ? 2. Do you have to have a compressor and tank attached to this system at all times ? 3. Does this stop the rear from flexing when loaded down in the trunk and with people ? 4. Is this an EXACT fit for a 2004 Mercury Sable sedan ? 5. How is it installed, can a individual do this or is special equipment needed ?

To answer your first question you can either inflate the air bags of the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60776 manually with an air compressor via the valve stems that will get installed on your vehicle or you could get a compressor kit like the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System # AL25592 and be able to control the inflation of the bags from within your vehicle. You also would be able to monitor the air pressure with this kit.
If you decide to not use a compressor kit you would not have to have a compressor attached at all times, the air pressure will be held in the bags by the valve stems.
This will help support the rear suspension in your vehicle and will help prevent the suspension from sagging when there are a lot of cargo in your trunk or you have several people in your vehicle.
The # AL25592 has been confirmed to fit your 2004 Mercury Sable Sedan and would be an exact fit.
To see exactly how this kit will install check out the link to the installation instructions that I attached for this product.
