There are two ways to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90885 in your 2004 GMC Yukon Denali.

1. If your vehicle has the factory tow package you can simply use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - GM # 3015-P to plug into the electric junction box beneath your vehicle's dash. This is located to the left of the steering column, just above the carpet. To plug in the adapter, first remove the cover on the box. The adapter plugs into the second slot from the left, on the top row, as seen in the attached picture. Then you'll simply plug the wiring harness adapter into the back of the brake controller.

2. If your vehicle does not have the factory tow package you'll have to use the included butt connectors to hardwire your brake controller to your vehicle's wiring harness. You should find 4 wires tucked up under the dash:

Red/Black Stripe = Power Wire - This connects to the Black wire on the Tekonsha harness.
Light Blue/White Stripe = Brake Switch Signal Wire - This connects to the Red wire on the Tekonsha harness.
Dark Blue - Power To 7 Pole Brakes = This connects to the Blue wire on the Tekonsha harness.
White Wire = Ground - This connects to the White wire on the Tekonsha harness.

Even if you have to hardwire it you shouldn't have a hard time. I've attached two videos to help walk you through installation.
