On the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit w/ 4-Pole Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # C59496 shown in your picture the wires have the following functions:
Green wire is the passenger side turn signal
Yellow wire is the driver side turn signal
Brown wire is the tail lights
White wire is the ground
Red wire is the brake lights if your vehicle has separate brake lights/turn signals. If it does not the the red wire will get grounded with the white wire.
Black wire is the 12v power wire that will need to get run to the positive terminal of your vehicle battery with the included fuse.
