Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56214 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with the Diesel engine.
We have not had a chance to install this harness yet so we do not have an installation video, but I went ahead and linked the written instructions for you. Since you do not have spare tire access you will just need to route the harness a different way to get to both the passenger and driver side connectors.
If you do not already have trailer hitch receiver installed I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11371 as it is confirmed to fit the diesel models, and is made right here in the USA so you know it is a quality hitch.
I included a video review of the # C56214 and written instructions for both products for you to take a look at.
