Question:
I have a Pontiac Grand am. I bought Part # C56175. Will this product work on my car to make my trailer light work? Or will I need extra parts to make light work? You state that there are seperate wires for brake light and turn siginals. Please let me know if I need to get a diferent system to meet my needs?

The Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # C56175 that you referenced is the correct wiring kit for your 1999 Pontiac Grand Am.
In order to install this you will basically just need a circuit tester like our part # PTW2993 to determine which wire is what on the tail light harness of your vehicle.
Basically you will just wire it up like the box recommends. For the green wire of the converter box you would run a wire to the right turn circuit, the red wire to the stop light circuit, the yellow to the left turn and the brown wire to the running light circuit.
You would use the # 3808 to test the wires and determine what is what and then use the included quick-splice connectors to make the connections.
