Is 80 psi Too Much Pressure for Tires on Pop-Up Camper
Question:
It has 80 psi on the tires for my pop up camper that seems high to me ?

Expert Reply:
What size tires are you referring to? What's the GVWR of the pop-up?
In order to achieve their listed weight capacity, most trailer tires need to be kept inflated to the pressure listed on their sidewall. If a lower pressure is used, the tires will have an unknown weight capacity which would lead to overloading which causes blowouts and premature tire wear.
Assuming your tires are the correct size for your pop-up and are their combined weight rating meets or exceeds the GVWR of the pop-up, you needn't worry about the pressure in the tires.
