Question:

Hi, Looking to buy the whole setup. What rails or rack do I need in addition to the box? Thanks!

Which roof rack components you'll need will depend on whether or not your 2021 Honda Pilot has the flush mounted rails or a completely naked roof.

If your Pilot has flush mounted rails that run front to back on the roof then you'll want to use the Yakima Roof Rack kit for 2021 Honda Pilot that uses parts # Y00421, # Y53TR and # Y00245. This system comes with aerodynamic crossbars that will help reduce the wind noise associated with roof racks. The Yakima Skyline towers # Y00148 can have locked added to secure the rack to the vehicle with the Yakima SKS Lock Cores # Y07204.

If you've got a completely bare roof then you'll instead want to use the Yakima Roof Rack System that uses parts # Y00426, # Y28TR and # Y06152. This system uses slightly longer bars (60" long as opposed to 50" on the Jetsteam Bars # Y00421) and different towers, but you're still getting a high quality and versatile roof rack system with aerodynamic bars that will reduce wind noise. The Yakima Baseline Towers # Y28TR also don't come with locks, but you can add them with the SKS Lock Cores # Y07204 I mentioned above in the same manner.

Either of the sets of bars used in these racks would be compatible with a Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6359B, but you'll want to make sure that you've got 25-3/4" between the center of your rear crossbar and the spot where the rear cargo hatch and the roof meet. As long as you are able to set up the vehicle in this manner then you'll also be able to open the rear cargo hatch completely with the box installed.

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out, but this would be a complete system for your 2021 Honda Pilot EX.
